NOTICE OF RACE

Christmas Cove Fleet Regatta 2017

Saturday and Sunday, July 22 & 23th

1. RULES

  • 1.1  The Fleet Regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing.
  • 1.2  The rules of the CC21 class will apply.
  • 1.3  Certain rules may be changed and these changes will appear in full in the Sailing Instructions.
  • 1.4 Each competitor will be responsible for their boats being in compliance with the class rules.

2. REGATTA ENTRY FEE

The entry fee for all classes is $75 per boat, which includes (1) skipper’s pig roast food ticket.  Additional pig roast tickets are available for purchase.  Please indicate number of food tickets in entry form.

3. ADVANCE REGISTRATION – Competitors shall register in advance by completing the Event Registration Form and submitting it to the manager’s office at the CCIA or by emailing to the Regatta Chair (contact info below). Forms are available in the manager’s office at the CCIA or by e-mailing the Regatta Chair. Please register by Sunday, July 16th.

4. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Saturday (3 races)

  • 8:30 AM – Skipper’s Meeting at the CCIA
  • 10:30 AM – Harbor start warning signal
  • 11:00 AM – Starting sequence of first race begins
  • 6:00 PM – Fleet Party begins at the CCIA Casino
  • 7:00 PM – Pig Roast & Luau

Sunday (2 races)

  • 10:30 AM – Harbor Start warning signal
  • 11:00 AM – Starting sequence of first race begins
  • 3:00 PM – Regatta awards ceremony

5. SCORING

The low point scoring system will be used. The first finisher in each race will receive ¾ of a point, 2 points for second place, 3 points for third, etc. Open class entrants require a PHRF rating.

6. PRIZES

Overall Regatta trophies shall include: 1st place for classes with 3 or more entries, 1st and 2nd place for classes with 5 or more entries, 1st, 2nd & 3rd for classes with 7 entries or more.

7. JR PROGRAM Participation

We encourage all JR Program sailors to get involved with this Regatta.  ALL CC21 Owners please invite the younger sailors to join your boat as Crew, or Allow a JR Program Syndicate   to enter your boat into the regatta.  For Additional information about Jr Program Participation contact the Race Chair (Ted Dey) or the head sailing Instructor.

8. Visiting Sailors

Please contact Ted Dey for assistance with lodging and launching your 12.5’s.
